A thought to start your week.

Monday mornings can sometimes be an anxious experience for leaders. Even those with a focused mind can find that their clear plan for the day can dissolve in what feels like just a moment and before you know it you find yourself on your way back home.

Practicing mindfulness can seem an onerous task but has clear benefits. Finding more time in each day to focus on self-improvement is something few leaders feel they can afford.

However, just spending 10 minutes a day can lead to visible benefits. So whether you are on your morning commute or heading home at the end of the day, why not try turning that phone off and let go of any work-related thoughts. Doing so effectively can lead to a clear head, focused mind, perspective and understanding of the world around you.

This, whilst feeling initially counterintuitive, can prevent you from resorting to autopilot and lapsing into action addiction.
